This is the first download only CD of Foden's Band called 'Live'. Each volume will feature live recordings from various major brass band competitions over the years as requested by patrons of the band, regular followers and band members.



The first volume of Foden's Band 'Live' features five of the bands outstanding performances from the British Open and National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain. The CD features the runners up performances from the National Brass Band Championships of 'Albion' by Jan Van der Roost (2001), 'Music for Battle Creek' by Philip Sparke (2007), 'Concerto No.1 for Brass Band' by Kenneth Downie (2008) and the stunning rendition of 'The Torchbearer' by Peter Graham (2009). The most requested track on this download only CD is the winning performance of Wilfred Heaton's 'Contest Music' from the 2004 British Open Brass Band Championships. A performance that was delivered with stunning clarity and full of musicality is a must for any brass band fan.
